Homepage mess!!!1
Does anyone know how to change the homepage on your computer???
I have been to microsoft web site and for some reason I now have their web site as my home page. I have been to Google and set that as my home page, it works untill I turn the computer off then it resets itself to the microsoft website.
I have also tried internet options and change the homepage their, but again it works untill I turn the computer off and then it resets itself back to the microsoft website. I have been messing around in the internet options but cant remember what I did. I know there is a simple solution, I just cant see it for looking!!!!! Anyone have any ideas?????
Cheers Albert

Sounds like the computer is not saving the registry and settings at shutdown.
Or it could be a virus/adware that is changing it for you.
I found out that you can override any homepage setting in Internet Options. If you have Spyware, or come across it frequently whereby website automatically sets themselves as your homepage, then this is a very good tweak for you.
Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and select "Properties".
Now in the "Target" box you will see "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE".
Now by adding the URL of the site to the end of this it overrides any Homepage setting in internet options:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" www.tlab404.com
This will stopping websites making your default homepage automatically.
-If you are unable to select the target field, then right click on the desktop and create a new shortcut. Browse to "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" and then you will be able to modify and add your homepage.
