What browser are you using?

If you are using IE, I have got a Java Plugin (a few Mb) that I can mail you.

Yes, but you'll find the sun version, unlike the MS version (no longer available, hence the iffy download link) take ages to load and totally screws your machine up whilst it is doing this every time you go to a java website (once loaded it is ok mind).

I recommend that MS one myself.

It also is no longer the current version, (so there are applets etc that it won't run), is full of security holes which will allow people to hack into your machine, and got loads of bugs as well, (memory leaks for example).

I've used the sun version both at home and at work ever since the Microsoft version was withdrawn, and have had absolutely no problems with it at all (in both Mozilla and Internet Explorer). Load times are fairly quick as well, (at least they are on my machines)

Sounds like you might have got something dodgy going on with your machine if you are having problems with it.

Are you sure you have Java enabled?
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and scroll down and could be under Microsoft VM [I have JIT compiler enabled]
