Question Easy way of distributing windows printers?

We have loads of networked printers and some are duplicated so that another server can act as a print server for them (no clustering).

What's the easiest method of automatically assigning a user (or computer) a network printer?

I'd prefer not to do it through a login-script if possible. Can it be done through a group policy add-in?

Scripting fine

There is a Resource Kit tool called PrintAdmin

or

Windows Scripting Host (WSHNetwork)

both need VbScripting

I've got just a few pages of a book on the subject - seems simple, email me if you want a transcription!!
