Does anyone know why MY COMPUTER appears in history within internet explorer. How do I prevent it. All the work in Excel and Word that I have been working on appear within my computer. Have I a trojan. Using XP by the way. This probably has a very simple solution.

So does mine. I don't think it's a problem. I guess it's just a 'feature' whereby objects can be viewed with Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer. They're not that different (from a users POV) anyway. When you have a directory listing visible (say, c:\) try typing in a web address. It will display the web site just fine. If you have other reasons to think you may have a virus then update your scanner and run a full sweep.
