A friend of mine recently installed Kazaa and was blessed with the appalling MySearchNow IE toolbar and web redirects. I ran SpyBot on her machine which got rid of the toolbar and spyware but she is still getting the home page redirects. If I set the IE homepage to a blank page it's fine; anything beginning www is soon hijacked back to the sodding MySearchNow home page.

Anyone have any ideas for killing this crap?

 

Hijackthis got rid of it for me.

Check their aren't spurious entries in the hosts file, I've seen that kind of hijack a few times....
