Default GPRS Call Charges

I've just been connected to the web on the laptop via the mobile (GPRS), yet mobile doesnt show the time/length of call?

Anyone know why my phone doesnt show these calls in my call time log? How will i be charged, will the time online be taken from my free minutes??

Phone is with Vodafone b.t.w.

I get charged £5 per Mb - they say thats around 200 plain text emails... if you surf the web, turn off images.

Depends on tariff. I think I pay around £2 per mb, but work on quotations for business stuff at £1 max per mb

You should be using ConnectMe software? If so, turn on the call charge log & see on the lappy how much data you're moving.

Thanks for the feedback, looks like with Vodafone it is £2 per mb also, going to do alittle more digging though and make sure that tarrif applies to my call plan.

The main reason is that i'm going the The Ring at Easter, and plan to do alittle reporting/upload a few piccies of my time there to keep everyone informed of what its actually like, should be fun!

I'll be at the ring then as well and AFAIK there is no GPRS coverage in the area.

I think there is an internet cafe around there though

Should be fun, you might need to find out the particular settings for Germany thoughht. Roaming is great in principle but with O2, if I go to Ireland, I have to load O2 Ireland settings in to get GPRS to work, so it might be the same for Voda

Probably cheaper to drive around and find a WiFi hotspot! If you do use GPRS abroad, from what I remember you don't have to change your settings on Voda.
