Default Seagate hard drive help required please

Hello there,

I'm after a bit of a favour please. Does anyone have a Seagate ST340014a hard drive firmware version 3.04? It's a 40GB 7200rpm drive and the model number and firmware version will be listed on the label.

I need a controller board to be able to access and recover the data from a drive i have. I wouldn't need to keep the drive or even just the board if that is easier. I would only need the board for a day and would sort you out with a drink for your trouble.

Failing this, i'm more than happy to buy the drive.

Thanks in advance,

Roy.

I've got a ST340824A which is also 40gig, 7200 rpm...

Not sure of the firmware version though or if the controller would be the same..
