Microsoft Virtual PC 2004
Has anyone had a play with Virtual PC 2004?
It looks very simlar to wmware but slightly less expensive

Depends what you want to do with it, I tried a couple of products so I could do some linux dev. work on a windows box a couple of years back, once KDE loaded it ran like a dog so in the end I just earmarked a spare box and went native, complete waste of time and I was running it on a fairly reasonable spec. machine, still at least you can try before you buy, me I wouldnt use it even if it was free!

It's ok for a quick test, but no substitue for testing on the real hardware IMHO. We've had several bugs which don't show up on either vmware or the Microsoft jobby, but manifest themselves on the real hardware. Mainly happens when using low level stuff in your programs....
