Ive just bought a USB inInfra red connector so i can transfer stuff to my nokia 6100.
When the device is attached to my pc and drivers installed for it, I get the message up in the toolbar, safely remove hardware.
Does this means its working or not?

and how do i transfer pictures to my phone too, do i need a certain program?

You need Nokia PC Suite 5 that comes on the CD that came with the phone. If you've lost the CD then this can be downloaded from Nokia's website.
