Smile Question for ipod guru's

I'm thinking about getting an ipod in the near future but have been reading that they are not compatible with wma files.
I have got stacks of albums on my pc hard drive but they are all in wma. Is there a way for me to change them en masse to a format that an ipod would recognize?
Cheers.

You could try...

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

Not used it myself, but I've seen a few comments from people who have, and it seems to work ok
