I fancy getting a second STB to use in a second room.

I notice there are a number of TW STB's on ebay. If I buy one of these, do I just plug it in? What about access to my subscribed channels? Do I need to get another smart card? Will TW let me do this? I notice some of the boxes have cards?

I wouldn't buy one off ebay, they don't belong to the seller, they are Telewest property. If you get caught with it they won't be happy, it's stolen property.

The smart card and set top box serial number are pair together and associated with your account, so simply adding a new one at your property with never work.

I'm sorry mate, but yes you'll have to rent the second DHT from Telewest.
