Had problems with pc and had to wipe hard disk or so iwas told on installing winxp pro and logging on to interneti get a msg stating something like NT Authority/system has error and remote procedure call is logging me out and it reboots pc in 1 minute
please help me as i have already lost all my e-mails etc

dont reformat your pc for that, its a virus, very simple to remove but now there are variations of it. You cna find all tools and links to remove it here, its easier than me explaining how to do it manually

Agree with Jason,

You may need to enable the dialup connections firewall to enable you to use the web first though.

Right click on the dial up connection, go to advanced and tick the firewall option. this will in itself stop the reboot RPC. but still need to clean the virus/Worm.

You also need to apply the patch from Microsoft to fix this problem.It's a fix for remote procedure call overflow
The message you're seeing is probably something like "RPC,system will shutdown in 45 seconds bla bla bla"
