Question

Got a machine at home, when I swith the mains plug on the pc boots up without the power button being pressed, but switching off is still as normal, auto turns off.

Is there an option in the bios, and if so, what?

many thanks

Tony

Sounds like a spike from your mains plug just enough to trigger the PC to come on. Try plugging into a surge protector (good idea anyway).
Some I know had this problem every time they turned a desk lamp on next to it
