Just posting on behalf of a mate who wants to start up a small business and wants to have a website, email addresses and also have his domain name come up in various search engines, like yahoo and google..

What company can he use that is cheap and will give him a domain name, web space, email addresses plus how does he go about getting his domain on search engines..

Avoid "Hostplus" or "Deenine" like the plague.

They had a server crash last year and 'lost' my website, including all webmails. Their backups failed too so lost meant lost. Support service is very responsive but geekily arrogant i.e. blamed me for bugs in their software which resulted in a corrupted a webmail account.

I'll be going elsewhere when the contract expires.
