PS2, DVD but green screen
#1
Believe it's because Sony disabled the RGB functionality from the PS2. Can I sort it using a different type of cable other than the one supplied with the machine. Believe I can get software that gets around this but is there a cable or hardware option?

I think the only cable you can buy to 'get around' the problem is one with a switch on it to let you flick between composite and RGB (composite being the colour but not so clear display). In other words if you want to watch your DVD's in RGB picture quality and full colour, you need software like Region-X or to take your PS2 apart as in the second link below.
Edited to say like this one here or you could also try modifying you PS2 like this at your own risk.

If you can get hold of an Action Replay 2 then you can watch films with the scart lead, because it has a DVD movie player on the disc/memory card that you get in the pack.
