would these changes make in my system?

current
mobo=k75sa
cpu= duron 995mhz
ram=256 ddr pc2100

to
mobo=asus a7n8x
cpu=athlon xp2400
ram=512 ddr pc3200

Loads.

I upgraded from a Celeron 800 based system to an Athlon 2ghz system and the change was well worth it.

Running Windows XP - a huge diffrence, especially having double the memory and increased bandwidth, plus an athlon has 512k of level 2 cache, Duron has 64k. You could add something like an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro for £99 out of e-buyer and then you have a huge difference. If you want to see comparitive speeds, go to tom hardware shack - they test every compination of processor, ram and G/card.

not hugely bothered about the gfx at the moment, running a 128 geforce 4 card at the mo and most of the hungry games i play on my trusty xbox.
