Hi Guy's
Simple question 'if' you know the answer, i'm running windows XP, is it possible for me to put a password on a folder, I have some things I'd rather no-one else saw, they're all legal before you ask!!!
Just the folder, not the whole log-in.
Cheers.

We login as different users, but I'm a little concerned that these things may be stumbled upon by accident, didn't really want to have to have a login password, cos that makes it look like there's somethin to hide!!

you can make the folders within your profile accesible to only you, however you cannot put a password on a folder thats publically accesible, there is a make private feature on setting the profile up, as long as you have admin rights on your own profile that is

For my laptop I use a Defcon authenticator (PCMCIA) though it does come as a USB. Its a finger print sensor that records passwords if you want it to. It will encrypt files and only works with other peoples fingers if you set it to.
I use it at logon for XP so if my wife just has to touch the card for her system and vice versa for me. Ideal for a laptop if it goes missing.
Can also use to encrypt files/ folders in XP and only allow access if needed to certain people.
Apologies if off topic.
