OK, just completed the Nurburgring after getting the xbox for Christmas, and now I need to play PGR2 online.
I currently have a Alcatel Speedtouch ADSL modem. Clearly I need some sort of router/hub too?
Any recommendations?
Thanks

Some of the older "engineer install" ADSL contracts say that you have to use their modem, which was that speedtouch thing as I recall. This was to stop people from easily sharing their internet connection, basically.
However, there is a router/firewall etc. available that takes the USB connection and provides a 4 port switch. Take a look here:

I have one of these, have been using it since if first became available and all I can say is that it's great. Means you don't fall foul of your contract etc.

I can tell you the way I have mine setup, Freeserve BB(same hardware as BT) Speedtouch into my pc as per normal, then I bought a cheap network starter kit from PC World which included 2 network cards(10/100)a hub(only 10 but its fine)and two lengths of cabling. One network card into pc, other into another pc in the house, connect both to the hub, run ICS software in windows(used both Win98SE and WinXPpro), finally get some more cheap network cable and plug XBOX into hub as well.
Simple as that, and cost me about £40 all in. I've been using this setup for two years(1 year with Xbox) with NO problems at all.
Hope this helps

From what I've read, the easiest way is to use an ADSL router modem i.e. an ADSL modem with a router built in. This will set you back about £80.
The cheapest way is to buy an ethernet card for your PC, about £9.99 and a length of CAT 5E ethernat patch cable for £7.99 and you then share your PC internet connection with your XBOX. I've done it this way - not easy though.
Whatever you do or buy, make sure the kit is XBOX compatible. I wouldn't go wireless to begin with due to the cost and the fact you have to get a wireless netwirk system running before you even attempt XBOX live configs.
The websire broadbandbuyer.co.uk has some good options for the ADSL router options.
