Hi All
My company laptop runs Win98 2nd Ed and my home PC runs WinXP Pro. Using the companys wonderful fast connection I have downloaded some large files which is 2 big for me to transfer via my digi camera. What I would like to do is connect the 2 together as a network so I can file share between the 2.
I regularly connect my home PC to my mates ADSL connection using XP to XP for online gaming sessions so have all the connections and ports. Its just the knowledge of how to conduct XP to win98 that I am lacking.
Anyone help me out or supply a helpful web site.
Cheers
Neal

You may need a hub to share the ADSL but it's dead easy to connect the two. Just link up using a crossover cable between your network cards and run the network set-up wizard on your XP machine. Once you have chosen the appropriate settings take the XP disk to the 98 machine and run the wizrd again on that. Then have a look at the workgroup for each machine (right click "my computer") and make sure they're the same. Hopefully you should now be connected.
