Question

I've just downloaded VectorLinux and I thought I'd grab the checksum as well to verify the file.

I didn't think far enough ahead as to how I would actually go about this though?

How does one use a checksum for comparison?

AFAIK you will need some checksum software possible md5sum
From here http://www.etree.org/md5com.html
