Very deeply impressed, especially since I got on Live!, graphics are amazing, so beleivable, then handling is great and the speed impressive.

What I find less impressive is a lot of the other players, I rate myself as pretty handy on racing games but its hard to race convincingly against those who insist on playing Enzo Banger Racing, you get to a corner brake, turn in hit the apex drift a bit, no they just plough into your **** bounce off the wall and carry on, repeat for several laps. Usually they make so much mess you can get around them but theres no point using a bit of finnese, style or talent as its completely pointless, rarely do you get anybody who actually races rather than just trying to punt you off !

Why do they always go for the f*ckin Enzo anyways, its not that great the 355 is much nicer, the Classic Porsche 2.7 is another favourite, what a re yours ?

Need a headset so I can object !

Hi J4cko, you seem to have raced with the wrong crowd! Last monday and tonight I've raced with good people, we all chose the same car (allowing) and had a damn good race

Mini's round the ring is long but worth it Other weapons of choice seem to be the RS Focus, EVO and Elise, non of your wall banging Try and get in a game with the scoobynet ppl if you can

If people are using Ultimate cars on twisty tracks I always get the Noble out and nine times out of ten win.

Two more Golds to do in KWS then I get my Merc

Is it SERIOUSLY that good ?

I have PGR1 and in fact most racing games, but I'm tiring of lashing out £40 a pop on games.

Is it worth £40 ?!?

Cheers

Well worth it.
Except for the plonkers on live who insist on using your car as there brakes I went on liast night and there were these lads all with Kudos rankings of about 10. And they just kept ramming me and each other into the sides to get past. Completely defeats the object

The other problem I have is that I can't have broadband where I live. (Don't start me off on BT !!!)

So is it still worth it as a standalone game ?

Cheers

PGR2, IMO, is a great one player game too, if you enjoyed the likes of GT3 on PS2. I currently don't have the Xbox-live kit, so the games I have will for the moment have to work one player. I think PGR2 and Rainbox Six 3 are excellent in that respect.

The only issue i have is I need another big (ish) TV so that I don't alienate the misses

Yeah, I suffer from that too. When I bought the Xbox, it was for (ahem) 'both of us', but there's very few games on the Xbox that appeal to the missus.

Still, might have to get PGR2 anyway.

You're right there, bit limited in lifespan (like all novelty games really) but didn't half make me giggle !

Cheers

There is a new PGR2 live game doing the rounds called cat and mouse at the moment. The rules are

4 teams of 2
Each team has a mini and an Ultimate in team colours
Select the ring
The team who gets their mini across the line first is the winner.

Sounds strange but comical racing
