Is it just me or does it look a little like the promo stuff or GT3........ I have a PS2 and I will buy this game but it seems to me that Sony are lagging way behind Microsoft in this department. PGR2 is a fantastic game with very good online play
where is Sony way behind in the department that matters now IMHO

Hold on, you haven't got GT4 Prologue yet?
It is much more difficult IMHO than 3, and really seems to require a wheel...
Check the thread on NASIOC.com - not huge detail, but a few experiences: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...76#post5253276

Nice one DW Why another modem? And if you have any issues setting up the network adapter let me know cos I had an issue with mine that I had to call the support line for help with and they fixed it. Seems like there is a rare but possible bug so typical I found it when setting mine up

I only have a USB modem for the PC which wont work with the PS2. I want to connect directly, as the PC is miles away from the PS2, and dont want to have to switch the PC on all the time when playing PS2.

All these pics from GT4 are from non-driving positions, probably from replays. All the GT games have looked much better in replay then when you are playing as they can use the CPU for pretty effects, not physics and AI.

Is that why we never see actual "in game" shots then? They see to be making a big deal of what's in the background, with nice landscapes etc, in both of those shot's theres not much computer generated stuff?
Oh and WTF is going on with that Scooby's rear spoiler?

Bit early for April Fools isn't it? If true that is great news but being a PS2 flagship game I would be surprised. There have been rumours in the past about PC versions but these never materialised.

the pics look better probably because they're hi-res renders - a common trick in the trade
I rememebr codemasters doing this - they released a bunch of pics which admittedly looked amazing, but were NOT in-game footage.
Very naughty.

The games developers, Digital Polyphony, have an exclusive contractual tie up with Sony meaning the game can only appear on their platform.
I imagine there'll come a time when Polyphony will walk, if Playstation 3 or 4 isn't up to scratch compared to the opposition, or they're handed enough money by Bill Gates.
Halo is the same for Xbox - it was originally written to come out on the PC, then they signed a 2 year contract with Microsoft to keep it Xbox only.
Same with Grand Theft Auto, etc..

Both of which we know will be absolutely superb on this game, with the series having held the title of best driving game (IMO) ever since the original Gran Turismo way back when.
