Wandering if anyone can help
I have the executer chip in my xbox, and it plays most games fine but for some reason it wont read 2 of my dvds or play some games i have on the yellow Datawrite disks, the weird thing is, I have 2 other games on the same type of discs and they work fine, all games and films work on my mates xbox.
Whats wrong :-(

What game is it ? The earlier versions of Xecuter (1.0, 1.1) will not load games that have the current protection on, unless you update the BIOS of the Xbox. Could your mate have a newer Xecuter (2.x onwards ??)
Also the DVD drives in the Xbox are VERY sensitive to media. It reads normal Xbox games from the outside inwards, unlike DVDs and normal CDs that are inside - out. I have had games that havent loaded where other ones on the same media have.

this is whats weird, my chip is newer than my mates i have the 2.2, has anyone got the latest bios for it, i think ill try that, the game is Prince of Persia :-(

You will need to get it from a site somewhere or from the Xbins FTP site, by requesting a password in the xbins IRC group. Have a search on xbox-scene.com for more details.

Maybe Microsoft should spend some money and shutdown Xecuter (and the others) from manufacturing these mods.
It's too difficult to police the end-user, so stop it at the source.
