It occured to me that the 'snoopers charter' as it where hadn't been mentioned for a while. What are a companies obligations under the act, in regard to storing emails etc?

well we are getting a visit from the home office next week as we want to sign up to the voluntary code. Why? because there is funds available now for those who want to comply. In our case as a telco under RIPA we have to keep call records for a minimum of six months but more importantly make this data available at short notice to any authority that wants it, and hopefully get a nice shiny new server out of it!
