Bought one at the weekend from Game, with PGR2 and Halo for £139.99
And its ALL YOUR FAULT!
PGR2 is perhaps not as arcade like as I'd want it to be, but getting into it gradually. And despite having played Halo to death round a mates house, it still appeals.
Just wondering what else to get for it... As I like FPS style games, but have been told the new Medal Of Honour is too linear again and I was never really convinced about C/S... Whats the new Rainbow 6 like?
Cheers, Alex

S'pose I should add that initially I won't be bothering with Xbox-live, so games that rely on this, won't be a good purchase for me...
I'll take a look at SWAT, Prince Of Persia looks good but not my cup of tea.
What Arcade style driving games are good (sort of Sega Rally esk or GT3).
Cheers, Alex

Yup PGR2 had a RC2 video on it, that does look good.
I'm might have to go and get a couple of FPS today, XIII and Rainbow Six 3 I think... I'll let you know.
Some quick questions:
- is it worth buying memory cards for the controllers as it seems to save data to the hard disk, so what plus is there bar being able to take it round a friends?
- Whats the best SCART lead, I have the official advance scart, seems ok.
- any other essentials I should get for it? bar Xbox live kit.
Cheers, Alex

Wouldn't bother with the memory card. If you need something to take to a mates, get the Mega-X Key instead, then you can download saves from the net too

Unless you've got a TV that accepts components then you already have the best Scart lead.

Chip, 160Gb HDD, EvoX & XBMP

Mega-X Key
Mega X-Key is a multifaceted product developed by Team X4 which unlocks the power of your XBox. It comes with loads of 'ready to go' game saves and cheats which can be managed using the included software. It serves as a "Mega" memory card with 32 MB of storage that plugs into the USB port of your PC and allows you to transfer Saves on your PC to the Mega X-Key. The Mega X-Key can then be connected to the XBox to load.
One of the biggest advantages of using the Mega X-Key product instead of XBox-Saves Manager is that it does not require a modchip to transfer saves. However, since a modchip is not required, that means the Mega X-Key will not work with Trainers, Patches, or Hacked Default.xbe Saves unless you have a modchip. It also supports XBox Live save game data so the Mega X-Key will come in handy for XBox Live users who wants Saves and Updates for their Live games. And later, we will introduce 'MegaCodes', which lets you customize your own cheats for your saves.
* Portable, Lightweight, Easy-to-Use
* Holds 32 MB (4x capacity of standard memory card)
* Preloaded with loads of exclusive saves and cheats
* Supports XBox Live Save Game data
* Skins support
* Allows you to run XBox-Linux using 007/Mechassualt save hack
* Includes Mega X-Key Software (Free Software Updates)
* Plug-and-Play though USB port on your PC
* Software requires Windows 98 or higher
* Hardware requires PC with USB port

Dr Evil,
I'm just south of Croydon, I have Ralliart 1 and Splinter cell if you want to borrow them. Splinter cell is brilliant once you get used to the view and the controls.

I am still resisting the credit card leaping from my wallet to get an xbox with PGR2 for £129.99.
Having seen the advert on TV at the weekend its becoming more and more tempting but I know I will end up spending a fortune on it with hard disk and chip etc

Was in Asda the other day and saw "Ghost Recon" for £18, even though it may be a little old now what the hell it only £18. It's worth every penny, great game haven't put it down all weekend.

Scooby-doo - thanks for the offer, but I've played both already.
You not bought any others yet?
Druddle - I was recovering from Friday night, and just couldn't stop myself yesterday... still I hope to have both the games you mentioned by the end of the week.
Saw Splinter Cell in Asda for 18.97 today too, if anyone is interested.
Hmm.. wonder how late Game are open til in Redhill.... worst case its Block Busters on the way home....

Cheers Scooby-doo
Only issue there is the A23 traffic at that time, going into Croydon from Redhill can be a real pain... tempting though to get those games tonight..
