Anyone throw any light onto why Audio conversations cannot be held between XP and windows 98 PCs. both are using MSN Messenger 6.1

Clicking on Audio sends the invitation, which can be accepted, but during the connecing to xxxxx but, the connection fails with the error.

The audio conversation with <username> has ended.

Doesn't matter who sends the invite, same thing happens.

XP box is behind a NAT router, but I don't think this is the problem as audio conversations with others are OK.

I think messenger has probs because both machines dont have XP . If they both have XP im sure things will be easier. No way around it .

I'll see if i can dig up the info again, im sure it was on the messenger install screen or d/l screen.
