Hello,

Looking for suggestions for a game to play on my PC over Chrimbo...but it needs to be easy!! I find most games these days just to hard to get into and end up giving up

I can just about cope with Half Life on easy level and recently had a go at my niece's Harry Potter game which if anything was a bit too easy.

Call of duty is very easy to get into - its impossible to get lost or find yourself in limbo - there is a compass on screen that highlights the direction you should be headed, the game plays very well and flows along without to much brainpower required.

Not to metion blowing up planes/tanks/germans with all manner of guns & artillery - there is a good bit where you have to man a flak gun to take stukka dive bombers out, inbetween the waves of planes, there are soldiers popping up - its not worth getting off the flak gun to shoot with smaller guns so you just give em' the good news with the cannon, very enjoyable

Its also not that addictive, I don't mean that in a bad way its just I only got a moderate ear bending from Mrs mj - last time I played resident evil she nearly had her bags packed - call of duty is very easy to play on and off.

 

TVM..Sounds great - have the same problem with Mrs Bloke

 

Try Hulk on PC as an amusing smash em up on easy level.
Couldn't get past a late level on Normal difficulty.

The Mechwarrior series (ver 4 onwards) are quite easy (with a
mouse), if you want to tax your brain further than a FPS, want something slower paced and don't mind remembering some keyboard mappings.

Crazy Taxi on budget is also simple and easy to play.

Enter the Matrix while being pants as a good video game, is an ok piece of entertainment posing as a very easy 3rd person shooting game; with the added bonus of seeing Monica Belucci and Jada Pinkett Smith lock lips during a cut scene

 

also meant to say, if you have broadband get Jedi outcst or academy - get playing the duel servers online - like winner stays on a pool but with lightsabers - also good if you want to kill a couple of hours.

 

Red Alert or Red Alert 2 (as long as you havent got XP! )

XIII, easy peasy FPS but with cool cell shaded GFX and top story line/plot.
