I have a cable modem with Blueyonder (ethernet-based) It is currently plugged into a hardwired Netgear RT114 (I think) that acts as a router for 4 PC's.

I would ideally like to replace this with a wireless device.

Could anyone recommend anything for me, please?

 

i would wait, as the new wireless 100mbit is coming out

 

I run using a Linksys BEFW11S4 Couter/Wireless Access Point, they can be picked up for about £50 or so now, I haven't bothered with going Wireless G as all I use it for is web access for the laptop, so getting 54Mbps isn't really an issue for me.
