I have a Abit Siluro GeForce4 Ti4200 128Mb OTES and have recently run the AquaMark3D demo benchmark and got a score of 19,059 with the standard supplied drivers (about 12 months old).

I have just updated the drivers to the Nvidia 52.16 2000/XP ones, and with Performance and mipmap detail set to high, i get an Aquamark3D of only 17,006.

Does anybody know why this would be so, and should i go back to old drivers?

I wanted to update the drivers before installing RivaTuner to muck about with.

Were the Performance and mipmap detail set to high on the previous high result?

 

The performance was previously set to High, and i'm pretty sure there was no adjustment on the mipmap. I might try setting them to best performance, but this will surely compromise image quality.

 

Check to make sure FAST WRITES are enabled & that antialiasing & anistropic filtering are disabled
