I'm just looking at a problem on a friends laptop and dunno what's wrong. Basically Im using the internal 56K modem to dial-up (tried several ISPs) it works fine for about 10-15mins then starts to go really slow, monitoring the modem the bandwidth fluctuates wildy, it makes no difference if its plugged in or not so its not a power issue. Im stumped so wondered if anyone had experienced this? Its an ACI laptop with a scansoft modem? If it was hardware I would expect it to work 100% or not at all.
