Question

Strange one this:

My PC runs Win XP Home. Fully patched and up-to-date.
I can select a screensaver from the Screen Properties - no problem. I can set the timeout for when it kicks in etc. I can apply all changes with no problem. However, the Screensaver never starts and when I go back into screen properties, the selected screensaver menu shows 'none'. This happens with any screensaver I select.

Any thoughts on what is causing this?

Chris

Try selecting:

One of the standard (non-fancy) screen savers, something like the logon screen saver.

Try reducing the display resolution. (just to test)

Question

Thanks Buck

Well that worked (sort of). However, one of my earlier screensavers, which I've had for months still doesn't work (used to though). So bearing in mind that nothing has changed, no driver changes etc - why did this suddenly start happening?
