Wow! This game is awesome, so much better than Colin McRae 4. So much so that I've sold Colin McRae already.

I'm trying to decide whether to buy this game or not as I also have CM4.
In what ways is it better?

just got this and it really looks slick. Handling and sense of speed is'nt as good as CM4 but its a whole lot better than the other 2. Definately worth getting

WRC2 was cack compared to 3, the cars handle much better and sound really good too.

i have to say wrc3 is very impressive, a mile better than wrc2 only problem is sound of cars IMO isnt always great.

The graphics are also very very impressive, i would reccommend buying or if u r really not sure rent it for a few days.

I think it's belting!!! I've had all three WRC titles now and this is def the best, but I Colin4 is good also, I wouldn't get rid of it. In my opinion, here are pros and cons:

Colin: Spot on handling, damage and co-driver calls gears into corners, internal rattles and bangs, engine/exhaust sounds are ace. Pants replays, I like to watch how I've gone round the corners etc. Although great rallies, they're all ficticious.

WRC3: Much much better handling, can do a proper handbrake turn now, much better damage representation and better choice of views internal and on replays, now have internal sounds like rattles and stuff but engine/exhaust noise better but not quite as good as Colin. Don't like the way they've stuck with co-driver corner ratings as opposed to gears. Real WRC rallies/events and I feel they've 'nicked' some of the graphic engine features from Colin but it helps.

I was on it 'til 4:AM this morning, had to be up at 7:AM, only came off it 'coz our lass made me!

Does it still feel as if as if the car floats over the surface like in the first 2 games? Also does the car move around the centre or does it understeer/oversteer properly?

lol this is almost as bad as the Quake / UT or ATi / Ge Force arguments.......

or if u old like me, the C64 / Speccy arguments from the school playground many yrs ago

lol i posted same question on another forum and just seen a reply which goes like...

'WRC3 is crap to be honest - rented this last night before buying and wasted my time. Id get CMR4 its excellent compared to WRC.'

think i obviously need to rent both..........or give Andy a tenner for his mint copy of CMR4

Yes the car does feel planted and not floaty, the car sticks like sh*t to a blanket on tarmac especially.
