Might help if you let us know what operating system you use, and what email client you use.

As I am about to embark on a rebuild, I am also interested in how to get my emails. I'm on WinXP and my mail prog is Outlook Express.

Help greatly appreciated

I'm not sure if it is the same. I use Microsoft Outlook and I can save the *.pst file if I want to back up my e-mails.

XP has a inbuilt wizard for this. Found out AFTER I reinstalled XP and read it on the "blub" screens whilst it's installing!
