unless your good with a soldering iron you'll have to pay for it to be installed. unlike the xbox the ps2 chip is a bitch to install

Ive seen a new mod around for the PS2

You get a new case that has a flip up lid so you can take the DVD out without rebooting.

Is this a software fix or do you still need to chip?
