Right I've got a Sharp Viewcam Z camcorder. I've connected it via an AV Svideo cable (supplied) to my TV Card (which as SVIDEO/COMPOSITE input). When I start my TV Card software (Hauppagge TVR-350) I get a brilliant picture but no sound. I can hear the sound coming out of the camcorder but nothing from the TV Card software. Any ideas?

Cheers
Marc

I think you'll find the S-video cable is just video, you'll probably need 2 phono to phono leads for the audio.

Just noticed the Sharp Viewcam Z camcorder is digital/mini DV so best to buy a firewire card and lead. Then you can capture video and audio 'digitally' for superior results. The firewire lead does the video and the audio.

S-video is just video picture only. You will need a seperate audio cable.

ok cheers for the help - my TV card doesn't have a 'Phono' style audio input so i guess firewire is the only way to go!
