Does anyone have a link to a site where they list the hacks/firmware upgrades etc. to unlock the region setting s on DVD writers? I am specifically after one for a Ricoh MP5125A, but a few of us at work have different ones, so the more the merrier.

You can make your drive region free (RPC-1) by using this patched 1.51 RPC-1 firmware (patch by Dean). A new version 1.64 RPC-1 is out (patch by Dean).

Just use AnyDVD from Slysoft. http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

This will make any drive region free without needing a firmware update, also any dvd'd you write will have no region encoding.
