My father-in-law is looking at moving from his 17" CRT to a 17" LCD. I know LCD tech is advancing rapidly at the moment with response times falling and contrast increasing so what do peeps think of the LG Flatron L1710B?
It's around the price he's looking to pay. Whilst not a games enthusiast he does enjoy playing, mainly FPS types and Colin McRae!
He's looking to buy around Christmas/New Year but if there are some good panels set for a Jan release, he won't mind waiting.

Thx for the bump :-D We actually bought it him last week, it's all wrapped up beside me waiting for Thursday.
Had to hook it up to the DVI on my PowerMac "just to check it"
I had a hard time removing the drool from it, ah well back to my 17" Trinitron CRT...
