It will work fine with adaware. It just warns that it will detect any spyware saved in the adaware backup folder. To be honest you can get rid of adaware anyway. Spybot is that good Just ensure you use the 'search for updates' button on the spybot interface before you run a search.

I've just done a thourough scan with adaware 6 and it found "0" new objects and i also checked the last log file which shows nothing quarentined. I've also got the latest updates for adaware.

Any more ideas/suggestions ??

Try SpyBot, picked up loads that Ad Aware didn't on mine.

I'm with DJ on this - Spybot picked up loads on my machime that Ad-aware didn't find.

Another vote for spybot. Picks up loads more than Adaware & searches your computer a lot faster too.

seems to be a few versions of "Spybot" the first is from Germany and is free (But wouldnt mind a donation)

Some warning about using "ADDAWARE" with it. Any tips for setting up and using??

I just delete it all but if you want just quarantine it for a week & if everything still works fine then permanently delete it

Download Ad-aware 6.181, the newest version.

I had version 6 installed, ran a full system check and it found nothing.

Installed the new version and it picked up 39 things, various registry hacks, dialers, etc.

System runs much better now
