Question

Hi

Anyone got a recent verision of SmartStart I could have a copy of?

Quite happy to post cd and stamps for the job.

Mods, not sure of the legalities in copying SmartStart, dont want to upset any of you guys with this post though!

Thanks

I needed a SmartStart CD a few months ago to get an old ProLiant server up and running. Email Zomax who handle SmartStart distribution and just request a single edition of the CD, there's no need to subscribe unless you want to:

you can copy SStart as long as it's V5 or higher (IIRC), we used to use W95 lite as the base O/S and therefore had to pay microsoft a licence for every copy of SS. We now use Linux which is free and therefore you can copy SS as many times as needed.

Someone has e-mailed me and is going to post V5.5 to me.

(zomax.ie wanted £15 + vat! They also pointed out that I need V5.5 for my Proliant 1600)

Thanks for your offer though. If no joy, I'll give you a shout.

Buck
