IIS Lockdown - need to unlock
#1
Hi Guys,
One of our contract developers who has now departed the company set up a website for us. Now however, the new server he has placed on the DMZ, I cannot connect to using a net use. (There is security though, to get through the firewall I have to authenticate etc)
It turned out he has run the iis lockdown tool and I cannot connect to the machine. I can however, do it to other machines on the DMZ, hence it has got to be the running of the lockdown tool. How do I reverse this inability to map a drive letter ?

YOu should be able to run the lockdown tool again, and remove the things it did
Failing that, go in and manually remove the locked down settings, in IIS itself and the NTFS file permissions
BTW you will need to be on the box itself to do this
