Can you use any other software to add mp3's to the iPOD other than the "Music Match" software that comes with it ?

Also - it mentions if I try and manually add mp3's to the iPOD via say Windows Explorer - the iPOD wouldn't be able to see them - is this true ?

Cheers All,
-DV

You can add them thru windows explorer but you have to have edited the file(s) (say with Winamp) and provided artist and album information.

Jason - when I look at the folder layout, I have a total of 20 hidden folders in the music folder eg. F00, F01, F02, etc...

Whats that about ?

I was going to suggest ephPod also which I use as well as Music Match (you can easily edit the tags with ephPod).

I think I'm wrong about adding music directly with Windows Explorer because the iPod maintains a database (I tried it and it didn't work), so sorry for the confusion (mine).
