I thought i had the answer but its trickier than it looks.......................

On clickin MSN Messenger 6.0 i get the message click here to sign in but it doesnt ask for my password and i want it to. How do i set it to request the password on connecting?

right click on messenger in the taskbar open messenger up, tool, option, general. hope this helps

As soon as click sign in, its signs in but doesnt ask for my password

Think I got it now............

For Windows XP.....
Click the Start button, click Control Panel, and then click User Accounts.
Click the User Account you want to change the settings for
Click on Manage My Network Passwords
In Stored User Names and Passwords, click Passport.Net\*, and then click Remove.
This does not delete your Passport, but it prevents automatic sign-ins, even if you select the Allow automatic sign in when connected to the Internet check box on the General tab of Messenger Options.

Click Close, and then click OK
