Help!

Have recently purchased a Panasonic DVD-RW burner, originally for mass data storage, but have realised I can use it to backup my DVDs, and to archive stuff off my TiVo.

I have a Marantz DV 3100 which does not like the DVD-R's I produce?

Anyone got this player? Anyone got any tips - I am a complete novice at this.. I've tried to burn a DVD 4 or 5 times with different settings/software but non will play.

Various web sites including dvdrhelp.com list my player as able to play DVD-R's??

TIA,

Alex

Are you sure it's the player and not the disks? Try with another brand of disk and at lowest speed...

Not sure due to lack of knowledge again

More info:

Burner claims to be a x2.4 speed burner, I burn at x2. Have used one type of DVD-R and one of DVD-RW as that's all I have bought so far. Recommendations for most reliable brands would be great.

The DVDs created will play in the PC, so I think they've burned ok, just don't work in my player, or my playstation 2, both of which should play them???
