Help! Have recently purchased a Panasonic DVD-RW burner, originally for mass data storage, but have realised I can use it to backup my DVDs, and to archive stuff off my TiVo. I have a Marantz DV 3100 which does not like the DVD-R's I produce? Anyone got this player? Anyone got any tips - I am a complete novice at this.. I've tried to burn a DVD 4 or 5 times with different settings/software but non will play. Various web sites including dvdrhelp.com list my player as able to play DVD-R's?? TIA, Alex |
Are you sure it's the player and not the disks? Try with another brand of disk and at lowest speed...

Not sure due to lack of knowledge again ;)
More info: Burner claims to be a x2.4 speed burner, I burn at x2. Have used one type of DVD-R and one of DVD-RW as that's all I have bought so far. Recommendations for most reliable brands would be great. :D The DVDs created will play in the PC, so I think they've burned ok, just don't work in my player, or my playstation 2, both of which should play them???  Alex |
