Question

Don't work in IT ~ not sure our on-site contractors do either though

Since last driller worm virus do-dah approx 25% of internet site appear to be unaccessable.

This includes a couple of other car forums I frequent and hotmail. I'd suspect some covert goings-on, but loads of links to totally unrelated things (links in scoobynet posts for example) similarly fail.

As soon as you try to access a site the left hand corner of the window says "connecting to site *IP ADDRESS* ".

Our IT bods reckon that many sites are simply still down since the worm. They reckon I can get into hotmail at weekends and evenings 'cos it's "probably only up then" A tracer shows a connection failure somewhere in USA.

I'm obviously sceptical ~ sounds like a router error to me (but I'm not even sure what that means ) ~ can anyone give me some advice to impart to my esteemed colleagues?

Thanks!

Got a security alert on that site (megaproxy) too "certificate does not match site name" or something.

Clicked continue & got in OK though.
