experiences of it contracting - any bad stories?

ok whos had some nasty experiences?
diving into the world of ltd companies/umbrella companies, its all shark infested waters im sure, to be honest im hoping this will be short term to who knows, whats my best options to take?
any advice out there so i dont get bitten?

Good Luck Mate.....
The market died when IR35 came out but there was a big killing made over Y2K
Anyway if its only short term go through the recruiting company i.e. you are employed by them and are paye aswell.
