I need a motherboard that supports both new AMD chips (3.0+) and also supports old AMD 1.0Ghz chips. Anyone got any recommendations?
Ideally one that supports SDRAM as well as DDR. As I will be buying a new CPU, fan, and DDR memory when we have finished installing our bathroom and central heating in a few months

I already have a 350w power supply which should be okay, but I can always buy a bigger one if need be.

Cheers
Darren

Oooh pc-chips <shudders>

Personally, I'd see if you can pick up an Asus or Gigabyte one

Also try http://www.komplett.co.uk

I take it that you have given up on geting one that supports SDRAM as well then? If so, don't bother with the KT600-based boards. The Asus Nforce 2 ultra 400 board is top notch, but still is beaten by the new Abit NF7-S REV 2.0 board.

Cheers,

Nick
