Question

I have a small problem with the MP3s I've been downloading from the internet. If I download an album, how do I record it with all the tracks as the original should be. It's really annoying having to fast forward through the entire disk to find a track I like.

A mate said there is software out there to do this, but can't remember the name??

Can do that with Nero. You just drag and drop the tracks into the order that you desire.

If you need the track order, just go on to somewhere like Amazon, and print off the listing from there.

Sorry I probably didn't explain it that well. I'm talking about the whole album being one track or one MP3. I can't be assed to download each song individually then make the CD up track by track. How do I write the album with the breaks in between the song ?

place i go to is mynapster, have to select them 1 song at a time, there was another site i was told but it slips my mind right now.

downloading one at a time fast enough mate, after an hour or so if you got a decent connection you can have loads of tunes ready to be played.

nero is the best IMO

Is it a mix CD ? Is there a .cue file to go with the big MP3 ? If so, you can load it into CDRWin and the track splits are seemlessly added. Some have the CD Text info in too, which is nice

You can put in the gaps manually in Nero too. Just load the MP3, right-click, Properties & Indexes, Limits, Split Tab. A bit time consuming, but worth it.

If its an unmixed MP3 with noticeable inter-track silences then there are loads of MP3 splitters around.

You can still use nero.

Go tomproperties and from there each track can be split up. When you are finished and click on OK it will then ask you if you wanted it split into different tracks

Are you burning onto CD. I change them into wav files and I find you get a better quality sound.

Hope this helps

You wouldnt get a better sound quality converting mp3's to wav. This being because mp3 is a compressed media and all wav does is expand whats there - it cannot add the missing chunks back in
