Question

Nothing too major.

I've just bought

an ASrock K7S8X mobo
Athlon "thoroughbred" 2400XP CPU

Stick of Ram DDR PC3200 DIMM

The mobo manual sez to set the FSB to one of the following-

100MHz
133MHz
166MHz
200MHz

which one do i choose?

Response needed pretty quickly - building it right now!!!

Thanks,

Dan

If it's the 266Mhz FSB one (which I think it is) then you'll want to set it to 133.

Better double check the processor to be safe though!

Question

I can only find 2400+ for sale with a 266 FSB?

Have they release a 333FSB version then? If that is truly the case, then yes you will need to set it to 166....is there a code on the processor that you can read, or have you already put the heatsink on it?
