So what do you recommend?
Ideally I'd like to be able to play my CD collection without putting anything in the CDplayer.
So I need to convert everything to MP3? Or is there a better solution do you think?
Is there a "jukebox" application that you recommend?
How do I go about cataloguing and organising all my stuff?
I've got Nero and Winamp btw do I need anything anything else?
What about Musicmatch?

RealOne player, fantastic. Play/rip media. Watch movie trailers, music videos etc. If you are connected to the internet when you insert the CD it will rip with song titles etc. http://uk.real.com/index-direct.html?lang=en-gb&loc=gb

Click the free version.

This may be dreadfully uncool, but i use Windows media player, works great, downloads track name and album art from the net.

Audiograbber.
Recommeded by many as best in the biz at converting audio cd's to mp3 (combined with the frauhoffer codec).
I use it to make MP3 cd's for my in-car mp3 player.
You create a directory and Audiograbber then create a sub dir of the artist, then a sub-sub dir of the album title, so it nicely organsies your collection by Artist then album.
Then point realplayer one to that dir and it'll pick them all up.
